Extended Orientation Program
August 20th – August 26th
The Extended Orientation Program is designed for new international students enrolled in the 2017-18 Academic Year at The MacDuffie School.
During the Extended Orientation Program, participants will have an opportunity to make new friends and adjust to their new surroundings before the academic year begins. During the daytime, participants will review English Language and American Culture in preparation for placement exams and life in the United States. In the evenings and on Saturday, they will get to know the local area through field trips to popular destinations such as Six Flags New England amusement park and the nearby towns of Amherst and Northampton, Massachusetts. By the time that the school year begins, those who participate in the Extended Orientation Program are sure to feel more comfortable and confident about both academic and residential life at The MacDuffie School.
